Buring Through my Pile!

Hello once again all!

So here I am just pounding the pavement and getting things done.  Looking over my pile I decided to focus on my original plan and get these half done models finished!!

Three Dunedain warriors for the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game!.  I dont know if anyone remembers on this blog, but I started painting these in 2016.  There they sat, half painted for almost 10 years.  Now they are done!  Off to the finished pile with you!

Speaking of Lord of the Rings...

Faramir and a Gondorian standard.  I bought both of these relatively recently and figured I could pound them out fast.  Which I did!  Only thing that prevented them from being done faster was me waiting for the wash to dry.  Of course I didn't just sit around not painting while I was waiting...

Dungeon Terrain!  I know, not much to them.  But they are done and also off the table!  Despite all this I did take a detour from the prepped models on my desk...

My last two Stone Trolls!  Yes I was sidetracked by these guys.  I saw them on a shelf and base coated them and painted them all in the same day.  Also put in the extra effort and got the Movement tray done too.

Here we see them sitting with a Troll I painted a few years ago.  Now they are all done and ready for the battle field!

So with 9 more models done I am off to continue the long slow paint war...

QUICK PROJECT!!!!

Hello once again all!

So another month come and gone and did I paint?  Well yes I did actually!  Not much compared to other times.  But I still got some painting done that I would like to share!

So here we have an old Dark Elf Hydra that belonged to a friend of mine.  He no longer games and sold me his minis.  So now I have a pile of Dark Elves and Wood Elves. With that said however, this model is special.  I have been fighting this Hydra for years and I think its time to give this guy a proper cleaning and paint job.

So into the paint stripper for you!

So the Super Clean not only stripped of the horrible paint job, but also dissolved the glue and Green stuff holding it together.

Now the Hydra comes with two handlers.  One of which is missing an arm (Sadly lost to time).  But I have another set of handlers from my other Hydra.  So I have all thats needed to caste a replacement arm!

 Voila!  New arm!

So here we have the model newly built and based!  Now to get it painted....

It is done!  One Spellthirster War Hydra for my Dark Elf Army!  I love how it came out.  It matches how I imagined it would look like when done.  The only downside to this project was that I discovered that my old Liche Purple has completely dried out.  RIP paint.

So with this done I can add it to the pile of minis for this year. So far so good!
