Warbands Getting Finished Left and Right!

Hello once again all!

Been a long (Hot) summer and I feel great!  While I did spend a great deal of time outdoors I also managed to get a bunch of stuff painted!  Well not a "bunch" but a "decent amount" would be more accurate.  So lets see what I got done!

3 More Frostgrave Minis. With these done I finish the Sprue I had bought.  I'm quite happy with how they turned out.  I do need to expand and get a few more Sprues in that range...in fact I do have another!  Oathmark!

One Oathmark Dwarf, One Bones Halfling Thief and one Dungeons and Doggos...well, doggo.  With these miniatures I have finally completed my Frostgrave Warband!

So I technically finished a project this year.  So go me!  But I also added two more...so boo.  Of course by that I mean I decided to dip my toes into 40k.  So lets take a look at some of my test minis.

For Warhammer 40k 10th edition  I decided to give Deathwatch a go.  While I have most of the rest of the squad partially painted this guy is the test model I managed to get done.  Overall I'm happy with how he came out and will hopefully get the rest of the units I have done in the new year.  Speaking of getting units done, I also took a stab at some older minis...

I got into some Oldhammer back during the summer and bought a bunch of cheap Space Marines to make a 3rd edition Blood Angels force.  It is mostly sitting in a carrying case but I got these models done as a test on how to paint red.  Very happy with the results (although the Dreadnought came out much lighter then I intended).

Next up!  Another project I finished!

The Leader of my Gnoll Warband is done!  Here's the whole Warband completed.  Now, with that being said I do have 5 more models I intended to add to it, hopefully in the new year.  But this is what the initial project called to have complete...and it is complete!  Go me!

And now to show off projects that have been sitting half done for AGES now that I finally completed.

        

        

12 Pestigors and 10 Dark Elf Crossbowmen!  Both of these units were projects started a few years ago.  in fact by "A few years ago" I mean 2013!  So I finally sat down and got them done and ready and I'm very happy with them being completed.

So, after several months of silence, this is everything I have painted in that time.  In fact I started writing this blog post in August and never got around to finishing it until now.  With the New Year in sight I only have a bit of time to add to my overall miniature count.  So I'll wait and see if I have anything else to add.

May Showers Lead to More Painting....

Hello once again all!

I'm back once more with more painting done.  Its been a bit since an update but I have actually gotten a fair amount done.  So lets take a look at some of the stuff I managed to finish!

 

 

More Gnolls for my Warband!  Also a Half-Orc Barbarian I had left over from a Nolzur's pack I bought.  Figured I finally get home done and put away.

The Gnolls join my Warband which now only has one model left...technically two but the second one may take a bit to get ready.  I want to do some fancy basing with it.  Now with these five done what else do I have...

One Skaven Jezzail!  Adding it to my WARCRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON! Skaven Warband.  I also have just a few more to add to that one as well.  Might even have something to show off sooner than later!

Happy New Year! Very late recap of my Year-to-Date Progress!

Hello all!

Well....it's been quite a year.  I know I haven't really posted anything for months and months.  I have a very good reason for that.  Mostly health related sadly.  While I did manage to get some painting done I never really felt the need to update, but I figured I had best start the year off right!

So for now I'm going to show off everything I did manage to paint in that time so you can all see I wasn't being super lazy!

Starting with stuff I did over the summer

Several more Rats to add to my Warband!  Got many more lying around but Lets put them aside for now and keep trucking on!

Finished up some random Warhammer Fantasy minis I had based but not painted on my desk!  In addition I finished some units!

Completed a few units for my Empire army....but bought a whole bunch more to add!

Also finished a bunch of random models for D&D and AOS!  Could be used in a variety of Skirmish games as well!

Lastly I also managed to complete a handful of terrain as well!

So all and all I did manage to get a bunch done this year...but by my count only around 54 models...Less then half of what I did last year.

HOWEVER, I am still glad I managed what I did and I hope to actually get a few projects done this month and help to recover.

Getting in the Groove...

Hello once again!

So I'm back with more stuff to paint.  After taking a rather long break and only really doing terrain I need to get back into mini painting to clear off my new pile of minis.  So I decided to start on something that has been sitting on my table since 2008.

One Empire Warrior Priest!  Or in this case, my Arch lector that I bought for 7th Edition Warhammer that I never got around to painting.  Howevere. now my War Altar has a proper Arch Lector...or just regular Warrior Priest.  I have one more Warrior Priest model in a box...somewhere.  I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.

Next up....

Bones Goblins!  These are from the first Bones kickstarter from years ago.  There are 12 in total in the original kickstarter and I have now painted half of them.  6 more to get done...once again I just gotta find them.

Now I need to make a decision on what to paint next.  I have to finish a project, I just have to decide on what it will be.

June is Time of Rest

Hello once again!  

June has come and so has my summer halt.  I managed to get a ton done the first part of the year., but now it time to focus on the outdoors.  So for now lets take a look at the last stuff I managed to paint.

One Magister for my Tzeentch Chaos Warriors.  He was really easy to paint, although I do see some blotchy paint on it and I may have to go back with a few more layers to thin it all out.  But for now he's done!

Next up something I painted quick and dirty

Rat Swarms!  More to add to my D&D pile.  So adding these all together I only managed 6 this month.  For a grand yearly total of 96!  Almost my whole total from last year!

So now that summer is here I'll probably be on a hiatus...maybe one or two minis.
